Mark began his career with Bird Forestry in 2008 soon after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Forestry with honors and a minor in business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. After starting with Bird Forestry, Mark pursued and earned an MBA from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mark’s involvement with Bird Forestry began well before his full-time position. In the late 1990s, he spent his summers working with his father and oldest brother as a part-time employee. Those years gave him the drive to follow in their footsteps and become a forester.
During Mark’s time with Bird Forestry, he has been involved in several large non-private landowner and private landowner projects. He enjoys working with all clients (large or small) and providing them with professional recommendations to help them in their forest management. His specialties include oversight of field operations for large-scale inventory projects, connecting with private landowners on a personal level, and providing support to his team, especially in the area of forestry technologies.

During Mark’s years at SFA he worked for the Forest Resource Institute collecting information and installing field research plots for carbon sequestration research, as well as installing and monitoring research plots to examine the effects of different herbicide applications for biomass production.

Hines Boyd is an agricultural land broker and professional farm manager with United Country Southern AgLands in Monticello, Florida, on the Georgia-Florida border. He works mostly in north Florida and south Georgia. Hines grew up on, helped manage, and still owns an interest in a large diversified farm near his home. That sixth-generation family farm includes row crops, cattle, and timber.
Hines earned his PhD in Agriculture from the University of Florida. He has over 30 years experience in the acquisition and management of agricultural properties for investor owners, including private and foreign investors, pension funds, and insurance companies. His recent experiences include the conversion of Southeastern timberlands to irrigated farmland. Boyd is also a professional farm manager who is knowledgeable in timberland management.
Mike is a Registered Consultant Forester and a 1989 Graduate from Auburn University School of Forestry where he majored in Forest Management. He is a Certified Burn Manager, a Qualified Alabama Tree Farm Inspector and a Member of the Association of Consulting Foresters. Mike grew up and lives in Jackson, Alabama with his wife Cammie. Mike specializes in timber appraisals, timberland investment properties, recreational properties and forest management. As an avid outdoorsman, he appreciates and knows good recreational and timberland investment properties when he sees them. When he’s not hunting or fishing, he is usually in his shop making custom hand-made slate, box and wing-bone turkey calls. Bickham has been in the forestry consulting business since 1989 and helped establish PETERS Forest Resources in 1996. His primary responsibility has been our large scale forest inventory projects and our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) but he also has responsibility for a variety of other forest management and analytical projects. Bickham received a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Louisiana State University in 1988 and has since taken numerous continuing education courses, seminars, short courses and workshops pertaining to timberland management, GIS, forest technology and computer science. Kevin Dalton started working in the timber industry in 2000 after graduating from UVA-Wise with a Business Management degree. He started learning the timber industry by grading logs and grading lumber at a local sawmill. He then spent the next 2 years buying land and timber to supply 3 sawmills. His wide variety of experience within the lumber/timber industry includes buying/selling lumber, dry kiln operation, and cooperating with the Virginia Department of Forestry. This variety of experience has allowed Kevin to have a great appreciation for the industry as well as the assets landowners may possess.
He earned his Real Estate licenses in 2002 and has utilized his experience and contacts within the industry to specialize in timber and recreational land since. Kevin has only worked for one company since getting into the Real Estate industry, United Country Anders Realty and Auction. In 1974, Jib moved from Sarasota to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida and received a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from the School of Forest Resources and Conservation in 1978. Furthering his education, Jib earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Real Estate from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business in 1983. Jib began his professional career as a forester working for Georgia-Pacific Corporation in 1977. Initially, he worked in timber procurement, then transferred to land management where he managed 117,611 acres of timberland in Gulf Hammock, Fl.

In 1989, Jib and Norman McRae were offered a timber dealership and co-founded Columbia Timber Company.

I am a Certified Forester and a Licensed Real Estate broker in Texas and Louisiana. Since 1996 I have been working with clients to sell or acquire timberland.
As a 1992 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State with a Bachelors of Science in Forestry, I began my career with a consulting forestry firm in Crockett, Texas, where I learned the business of forestry and worked as an appraiser trainee. While there I acquired my real estate salesman license in 1996.
In 1998, I joined a small company that was a new type of organization called a Timberland Investment Management Organization (TIMO). During my tenure, I filled a number of roles including area forester, division forester as well as having responsibility for the disposition and acquisition of client properties.
In late 2006, I joined Cartwright Real Estate as an associate broker and developed a great track record of selling timberland to and for investors. In May of 2012 I joined the team at United Country Land & Timber in Lufkin, Texas. Over the last several years I have a successful track record of selling timberland properties for several TIMOs as well as private Investors. Scott Lindsey started working in the timber industry in 1986 while attending high school. After graduating from Mississippi State University School of Forest Resources, Scott started his own full-service forestry consulting firm in McComb, Miss. His firm, Lindsey Forestry Service, exclusively handled the timber inventory for listings at the local United Country office, Gibson Realty, which he later joined full time.
He earned his real estate license in 2006 and has been a top agent within the United Country network almost every year since – placing first in the nation in 2010 and 2011. Norman grew up in Lake City, Florida and received his Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from the School of Forest Resources and Conservation at the University of Florida in 1982. Since then, Norman has attended numerous forestry and land management courses to continue his education.
Beginning his forestry career with the Florida Division of Forestry, Norman was a Forest Ranger in Columbia County, and then quickly promoted to the Okaloosa County Forester. Within a year, he was promoted to the Madison County Forest Area Supervisor. In 1985, Norman left the Division of Forestry to work as a forest consultant and Gainesville branch manager for F&W Forestry Services. During the course of those years my company Renfro Land & Timber Co. has acquired several thousand acres of manageable investment timberland.

owner of David Richardson and Associates Real Estate Inc. Since 1973, I have been actively listing, selling and auctioning real estate in the Perry, Decatur, Hickman and Lewis county area. In 1971 I received a B.S. Degree from Austin Peay State University in Business Administration. I became a Tennessee State Licensed Real Estate Broker in 1977 and a Tennessee State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser in 1994. My company is a small full service company, in the small town of Linden, Tennessee.
Linden – Perry area is made of approximately 90% forest land. A high percentage of my company sales are timberland properties sold to timber companies, investors, and hunters. In addition to my sales experience, my partner and I own and manage over 6000 acres of timberland and row crop land. I have been around the Real Estate business my entire life and received my Affiliate Broker license in 1996 and my Broker license in 2001. I am also an auctioneer, have an associates degree in marketing and a B.S. in organizational management. I have sold thousands of acres in timberland in the Middle & West Tennessee Areas. My family owns & operates over 6,000 acres of mostly timberland and along with my father, his business partner, state licensed forester, and me we have the knowledge to help find and consult land owners and potential timberland investors. I am very proud to be apart of a family business and to live in such a great state. Bruce was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. After being Honorably Discharged form the United States Navy, he settled in Halifax, Virginia. He then attended Danville Community College and graduated Suma Cum Laude. He graduated with a B S Degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management in 1976 from Virginia Tech. He is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters.
For the past 38 Years he has worked as a Procurement Forester. After retiring in the fall of 2013, he decided he wanted to continue working with forestry and farm land. He decided in 2014 that he could continue his interests in the out of doors and at the same time help other people with the same interests by starting a career in Real Estate with United Country Virginia Realty.
He loves to hunt, fish, kayak and canoe. He loves to guide people on deer, duck, and turkey hunts. His two grand children gain much knowledge and love of the out of doors as they share great times together. For the past 11 years he has been teaching Shag dance lessons to many people in the area.
His many travels and sights in all 50 states, and 7 foreign countries have made him realize that south side Virginia is a great place to live, raise a family, and work and play. His knowledge of the out of doors, forestry, timber lands, farm land and water front gives him the ability to assist other people in locating the exact property for them. He enjoys helping people to locate the right hunting propery, or timber investment property for them. He is there to help others fulfill their dreams by locating the property that fulfills their needs, so they can realize how wonderful it is living in south side Virginia.
Brad has been a Consulting Forester at PETERS Forest Resources, Inc. since receiving his Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Louisiana State University in 2008 and became a real estate agent in 2014. Attending both LSU at Eunice and Louisiana College before LSU, Brad played baseball while working on his undergraduate degree. He plans to earn a Certification in General Real Estate Appraisal and Brokerage. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Haylie, and son, Loclon, as well as playing golf, hunting, and wildlife/landscape photography. Relying on his college baseball experience he also spends time coaching baseball.
